ABOUT US
The Shibden Land Train was built in Portugal, with the design based on a Land Rover Defender. The train was funded by the Heritage Lottery Fund in 2007/2008 - at the same time as Shibden Park's £4 million restoration project.
We have been running the Land Train service since April 2014

The Land Train route picks up near the cafe at the bottom of Shibden Park, drives along the lake and up over the hill through the woodland, continuing past the wildlife pond with a spectacular view of Shibden Hall, before stopping to let passangers on/off, and returning back down along the tracks through the park to the cafe.
